Having a quick and easy basic makeup routine is absolutely necessary. I am going to give you the inside look into my makeup routine that is so easy, anyone can do it. I am also going to provide pictures of all the products, links to all the products, and a picture of how I contour my face. Hope this helps anyone who is struggling to get down that perfect makeup routine!
Step 1: foundation/tinted moisturizer
Personally foundation does not work for me because it is too heavy and too much coverage for my liking, so, I use the Tarte Amazonian Clay BB tinted moisturizer and mix it with a few drops of the Drunk Elephant Sunshine drops, in order to make the coloring darker, to match my skin tone better.
Step 2: concealer, bronzer, and blush
After finishing with my tinted moisturizer, I use concealer, The NARS creamy concealer under my eyes, on my blemishes, in between my eyebrows, on my chin, and my upper lip. Then I use the MILK matte cream bronzer stick in the hallow space under my cheekbones, on my jawline, and around the edges of my forehead. After applying both concealer and bronzer, I then go in with my Rare Beauty Blush, applying it in the space under the concealer and over the bronzer and a small amount on my nose, for that sun-kissed look. A very small amount of this blush goes a long way.
Step 3: powders
First, I begin with going over the matte bronzer I have already used and I apply my powder bronzer, the Benefit Hoola bronzer, over this in order to set it and give my face a better bronzing. Next, I use my Laura Mercier translucent pressed setting powder, in order to give my face a matted look. Lastly, I apply my highlighter, the Benefit cookie highlighter, directly onto my cheekbones, onto the tip of my nose, and onto my upper lip.
Step 4: eyelashes and eyebrows
Almost done! But my favorite step is the eyelash and eyebrow step. First, for my eyebrows, depending on the look I’m going for, I either use the Benefit gimme brow for a darker and thicker brow or I use the Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel, for a natural matted brow look. Next for my eyelashes, on a daily basis I use the Smashbox super fan mascara for my everyday natural lashes. However, for a night out, I start with the Better Than Sex waterproof mascara and top it off with the Benefit roller lash mascara. The use of the waterproof mascara keeps your lashes looking perfect all night long. I swear by this mascara combo; it is unbelievable. People constantly ask me if my lashes are fake because of how amazing they look.
Step 5: lips
Lastly, lips! I usually just keep it very simple and use a basic sparkly pink lip-gloss. My go to is the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb universal lip luminizer Fenty glow in the color $weetmouth. In my opinion, this is the step that just pulls everything together.
